Parish Council Vacancies

Make a change, become a Councillor

Do you live or work in or near the parish? Are you aged over 18, have ideas for improving village life, and able to spare a few hours each month?  If so, why not join the team?

Represent the community

East Budleigh with Bicton Parish Council represents the local community, providing services, and developing ideas that benefit East Budleigh, Bicton, Yettington and Kersbrook.  Our Councillors are a friendly, proactive group working hard for the village, but they need more support.

Four vacancies

The Parish Council should have 10 councillors, yet for some time it has had only six or seven. With more than 700 people on the parish electoral register, surely there must be a few more residents willing to step forward?

Could it be you?

The Council welcomes people from all backgrounds. No experience is needed, and new councillors will receive plenty of training and support.  If you have thought about getting involved, what is holding you back?  What would make the role more appealing?

If becoming a councillor is not for you, could you help in other ways, such as becoming a Parish Paths Coordinator or Road Warden.
If not you, then who?
