The final stage of the Neighbourhood Plan Process
The Plan is 'Made' and a Final Adoption Statement issued
The Plan was presented to East Devon District Council at its Cabinet meeting on 14th June, 2017 and was 'made' (accepted) and a Final Adoption Statement has been issued.
It will now form part of the Development Plan for East Devon alongside the East Devon Local Plan 2013-2031. As such it will provide a comprehensive basis for the sustainable development of the Parish over the next 14 years.

The following email was sent by EDDC to the Parish Council on 27th May 2017:
I am very pleased to advise that the District Council agreed to ‘make’ the East Budleigh with Bicton Neighbourhood Plan at their Cabinet meeting on 14th June. I have delayed notifying you because the decision could be challenged until last Thursday, however this date has now passed, so I can confirm that the Plan is now adopted for development management purposes and forms part of the Development Plan.
I attach a copy of the adoption statement for your information. You are required to display this (for instance on noticeboards) to bring it to the attention of any interested parties living or working in the parish. Congratulations! I know it has been a long (and sometimes difficult) process but the steering group have all worked incredibly hard and I’m sure will be very pleased to finally have the Plan ‘made’.
