Planning
|
The planning system shapes development and land use with the aim of achieving outcomes that are positive for people, the economy and the environment. East Devon District Council is the principal authority responsible for making planning decisions across the whole of the district, and is required to consult the Parish Council on all planning applications within the Parish. The East Devon Local Plan sets out the long-term strategy for the development of the district, and our Neighbourhood Plan sets out the community vision to shape future development in the Parish. The planning authority takes both of these documents into account when making decisions on planning applications. Applications that do not align with these are unlikely to receive planning permission.
